Just Back from Austin

just got back from a two day business trip to austin.

as a matter of course, the political organization i work for frequently visits the state capital in order to benefit from it's somewhat more diverse citizen-base (that is, compared to Houston).

as is usually the case, we stayed at a certain supporter's home whose computer equipment and net connection is central to our regular communications with the houston office when on such deployments.

i'll just casually reiterate here that i keep track of all such instances of computer usage which involve other person's computers and network connections; the general (desired, anyway) tack of the investigation against me has several fundamental goals insofar as eventual criminal charges are concerned and computer crime would have to be the most predominant, specifically computer crime which would carry with it a sentence restricting my right to use computers and the internet.

therefore, i record this somewhat uneventful business trip in my blog as well as the rather mundane and regular computer use associated with it.

furthermore, i keep a chronological table of all such external computer use instances at my main website in the 'Computers and the Internet' section.

...

otherwise, the trip was fun. austin tx, if you haven't been there, really is a one of the kind place with smart, politically minded folks on every street corner ... there's also Freaks-'o-Plenty ... and this just adds to the fun.

insofar as the investigation tactics i've written so extensively about, i've seen several instances of such activity while on past business trips to austin but none for this last journey.

most such activity has included the obvious street theatre type psycho-social/exploratory dialogues (considering the public nature of our political work) and on one occasion actions a bit more invasive and physical ... neither of which, compared to past published similar events really warranted publishing and so i've never felt compelled to share the details.

anyway ... since my prerogative is to work solely from our houston area headquarters, my trips to austin are rather infrequent. but for the record, and cause i need the content, just thought i'd publish news of this latest journey.
