Some good news recently is that after 3.5 months, I received word from HPD that the body cam data I requested related to the 12/24 "Mental health wellfare check" was ready.
The one odd thing is that HPD said they are mailing me the data instead of having me come to pick it up personally, as I had specified as my preference when filing the request.
The issue with this is that mailing the information leaves windows open for the data to never get to me. IE: "It was lost in the mail" .. or "Somebody might have stolen it from your mailbox," etc.
USPS Informed Delivery
I have a USPS Informed Delivery account, which provides me with a photo of every piece of mail delivered to my mailbox, so we will see.
They mailed yesterday 04/01/25 so it should only take a day to reach me as it's a simple mailing from downtown Houston to my address which is only about 12 miles away.
If past experience serves, I am personally 50/50 on whether the data will actually be delivered.
